ABOUT DISTRICT COURT
Gyalshing is a district of the Indian state of Sikkim also called Geyzing which lies just west of Rangit River on the Rathong-Kalet interfluve and is approximately 112 kms away from the State capital at Gangtok. The District Headquarters of West District are further divided into two Districts namely Gyalshing and Soreng. The popular tourist attractions are Pelling, Sanga Choling Monastery, Yuksam, Pemayangtse Monastry, Rabdentse Ruins and Khechoperi lake. Civil Court at Gyalshing.
The foundation stone of the Court Building at Rabdentse (Gyalshing) was laid down by Hon’ble Mr. S.N Bhargava, the then Chief Justice of Sikkim on 27.07.1995. The Court Building at Rabdentse (Gyalshing) was inaugurated on 03.05.1997 by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Malay Sengupta, the then Acting Chief Justice of Sikkim.
The Lok Adalat at West District, Gyalshing was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Justice Anup Deb, the then Acting Chief Justice, High Court of Sikkim in the presence of Guest of Honour, Shri S.P Wangdi, Addl. Advocate General, Ex-Officio. Executive Member S.L.S.A on the 10.11.1998.
